Yesterday we received a large shipment of Alternative Apparel. This company offers great basics for your wardrobe at a very economical price. The clothes are super comfortable and the fit is great. Here is a cool video from their Spring ‘10 campaign:

We have their short-sleeve and long-sleeve, crew-neck tees in the slub fabric offered in many colors. We also have some slub v-necks. Don’t know what slub means? Well here is a short video of Alternative founder and designer Greg Alterman elaborating on this awesome fabric:

We are also carrying Alternative Earth. All the pieces in this line are eco-friendly, being either from organic or recycled fabrics. Cool, huh? Also these are some of the softest clothes you’ve ever felt. We have their short-sleeve, crew-neck tees in many cool dyes as well as their thick and lightweight zip-up hoodies.

Yesterday we got in a variety of styles of Tres Noir sunglasses. We have carried them before and they are back by popular demand. To give you an idea of the quality of their stuff, here are the product facts taken from their website:

“Optical quality sunglasses.

Tres Noir has taken the same quality you find in an optical glass and adapted it to sunglasses. Eyeglasses are made to be worn everday and withstand the daily wear and tear while still lookin great. Your sunglass quality should be no different., which is why Tres Noir uses the same materials as most eyewear glasses – handmade acetate, monel, and European CR39 lenses.

All plastic frames are made in limited quantities of handmade acetate.

Unlike most sunglasses, Tres Noir doesn’t use a mold for any sunglasses. All sunglasses are made by hade from acetate sheets. This allows them to use unique colors and give the frames a heavier feel.

Metal Frames are made from 100% hypo-allergenic monel.

Monel is high quality metal, that does not rust or chip. It is hypo-allergenic and can be adjusted for the perfect fit.

Lenses are made of shatterproof European CR39 plastic and provide 100% UV protection.

All lenses are made in Italy and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. They are shatterproof and come with scratch resistant coating.

Most frames are Rx-Able

Many frames in the collection can be taken to an optician and have a customers perscription inserted. Please see sunglass description in the collection section to find out if your glass is Rx-Able.

All frames come with a 1 year warranty against manufacture defects.

Every pair of Tres Noir sunglasses come with a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects including – lens popping out, hinge breakage, frame breakage, etc.”
